New to me boat has a fancy complicated vacuum toilet, suspect it is not functioning correctly due to possibly not being used for long time.
Was functioning on purchase but now discharge pump trips circuit breaker .
Full intend to have a "no idea investigation" (ie fiddle and poke around around a bit today) but any suggestions who can look at it, who know what they are doing !
Location North Kent.
You absolutely have no idea just how important the toilet is until it is not available. ? :)

Seized pump due to stuck chunks? Old Oyster had something like that and I remember sweary jobs that involved having the vacuum pump on the pontoon and prying out said chunks. Enjoy! :ROFLMAO:

You have The Rolls Royce of Loos. You could post on Cruisers Forum and ask The Headmistress..

Or you could enjoy a little light reading followed by a bit of mucky and smelly DIY

Lee Sanitation are agents over here so maybe they have a service engineer in your area as these units are used extensively on inland waterways.

Update so far.The unpleasant details.
Vacuflush.

A right bodge on pipe work from bowl to holding tank with resulting weep into bilges, if seacock not turned off.
Remove tangle of old domestic sink waste pipework ? and discard,. replace with new bit of pipe and reseal,,dab of handy CT1 ideal for this job.
Holding tank full of salt water ???????...........................and other stuff .
Overboard discharge blackwater pump tripping fuses.

Remove *&^%$ discharge pump . Tip , bung bit of rag into holding tank outlet. !
Clean out bilge !
Dismantle pump, a well designed bit of kit, simple and easy job to get at internals.
Interior of pump totally blocked with debris. Pump piston unable to move up and down due to bottom of pump chanber full of solid scale material.
Both joker valves inoperative , both wedged open..
Clean, scrape, chip out pump chamber , free both joker valves.
Pump piston jammed in the up postion. Physically gave it a pull and bits of scale stopping it moving fell out.
Reassemble pump and reinstall.
Starts working and clears holding tank. :).
Conclusion.
Suspect holding tank was filling up with salt water due to water pressure from open seacock and joker valves in discharge pump not preventing inward water flow..
Down today to see if everything is working......or not.

Curious lack of offers of help !
PS. New pump £400.00
