We had to wait in Bodrum for a couple of days for some friends to arrive, and having previously been stung by the price of the main Marina ,decided to investigate the Municipal marina which is directly opposite ,in the main harbour, just in front of the harbourmasters office.
Pleasantly surprised, they were glad to have us,moored alongside ,water and electricity ,solid pontoons and less than a tenner per night.Nice people to deal with.
It is not a full service marina by any means,it is just a big pontoon, loos are at the Mariners association cafe, office is directly opposite the entrance.

Contact details as follows...Port Bodrum...02523136769. E mail..limanbodrumbelediyesi@outlook.com

Best to contact them in advance and make a reservation. VHF ch 16 Port Bodrum.
As I said a much more sensible alternative to the Marina, and it would be an ideal place to go if you wanted to check into Turkey..the HM office, passport, customs and health are only minutes away.

Hope that this is of some use to someone.happy sailing.

No. I did not use an agent, well only a bit as you need to get the TL typed up and then you can DIY.
I posted information earlier this year re checking into Bodrum without an agent.
I will look out the link and post it.

Here it is

Checking into Turkey at Bodrum
This is a follow up to a post I made a year or so ago on this subject,so apologies if I repeat som of the earlier info.
We arrived in Bodrum from Kos on Saturday morning to check in and get a new Transit log. Unfortunately the bureu of shipping i closed on Saturdays,so I used he agent at Bodrum Mariners Association to obtain the necessary paperwork.
The chap whose name is Ali is very helpful and offers a 2tier service.

Either hewill supply and print off a new Doc for ytl 130 all in after which you can do thelegwork yourself.
Or he will do all the process for ytl 230 .
As his office s just down the quasidefrom he harbourmasters and very closeto the health, customs and passport offices ,it is a very easy job to do it yourself.

Do not park in the marina unless you are planning to stay in Bodrum! Instead go in stern to or alongside the customs quay asdirected. It is free for as long as you require to get the job done.
The only snag which might arise is if you arrive atthe same time as a ferry from Kos,in which caseyou will need to wait for them to clear the passport desk. Just go and have a drink in the cafe.
In total it took us less than an hour to enter Turkey, get a new Transit log and scarper out of the harbour.
Total cost about £50.00
Hope this is of some help.

Really useful info - I didnt know there was an alternative to the other (rip off) place.
Is the mobile disco still sailing out from the anchorage with all lights/speakers blazing ?
Woke me up when we were on the hard at Yatlift during the summer so what its like when you are in Bodrum I cant imagine !
