Boaty iphone apps

Weather4D and WeatherTrack excellent. TidesPlan11 excellent tide and tidal stream planner that doesn't need Internet access. Navionics is useful as a 2ndry tool for visualising charts and as a simple backup to your primary chart plotter. WindGuru is fun, but for me the graphical presentation and animation of weather forecasts by Weather4D is excellent. Used it on board heavily in recent weeks.

Shipfinder, a pocket AIS, quite useful.

Marina Guide, does what it says on the tin.

Boatie, Inshore forecasts, shipping forecasts, synoptic charts, tide data and streams and loads of reference stuff.

My colleague and I are currently developing a replacement for the Autohelm Electronic compass but looking for a backer.
Here are some images: Not all the features are shown. The last one is in 'night' mode.

That looks good. Any idea when (or if) it will be available? I'll trial it for you if you like ;)

It's ready on Android but haven't started iPhone development yet. Hence looking for a backer.
Here is the main menu.
(As it is the phone equivalent of the Autohelm Electronic Compass we sent some screen shots to Raymarine but no response.
If anyone knows someone who knows someone who may be interested pass them this way.)

iphone hands free

Plugged the iphone into fm radio and used one of those tuner gadgets to listen to music stored on phone via radio in boat. When the fone rang lol it was like a hands free kit !!! the voice came through speakers clear as a bell i jst had to talk in the direction ot the fone to use it.

Cannot help you with your Q, but very impressed with the images.
Tried to find in in the android market (I'm not an iphone person), but I couldn't.
Is it in some sort of beta, or still thinking about releasing?
Would like to have a look if possible!

cheers

The "Good Pub Guide" app has proven useful in many an emergency. It can tell you the location of the nearest pubs to you. Unfortunately it doesn't give course to steer.

It cost a few quid I think.
