Boatworld are in my view an excellent company that knows where to pitch a price at the lower end of the market for those people who are not blessed with much money. They have been a way to get on the water at a very cheap price for some time now.

It is interesting now to see that they are branching out into the small solid boat market.... Looks a good product in my view. £16,000 for boat, outboard and trailer and Greek design

Here is an example of how much fun a family can have for a very cheap price. Made possible by Boatworld.

By the Way I am in no way affiliated with Boatworld I just think they have got many things right.

We’re seriously looking at their 330 air v-floor SIB. It’s almost certainly an ‘OEM’ HonWave (same factory?).

Seeing as the Honwaves are good design, but hardly bullet proof (everyone’s seem to leak and end up full of patches after a few years), can’t see the reason to spend another £400.

I too approve of the ‘just get out on the water’ market position!

That is deffo not a honwave. I have a honwave and have looked at the Boatworld one and they are very different.

Honwaves are very robust. No patches on mine or leaks. Not sure where you got that from

I have a T32 Honwave and my brother a boat world 330.

Boat world one is light weight compared to the Honwave. The fabric is thinner.

Good value but not in the same league.

Honda have a good reputation for a reason....

With an 8 hp orca outboard it will plane 1 up. Top speed about 14 knots. The 8 hp is very light weight although single cylinder makes it more lawnmower like than smooth.

At first glance, £15k seems very good value, a great introduction to boating :)

Not the same - but a ‘clone’ surely?

I’ve yet to find a used one for sale with a floor that’s held up. The drop stitch PVC was originally conceived for barefoot personal watercraft. It only takes a shard of glass or similar in the sole of a shoe to create a pinhole.

My understanding was they all use 0.9mm PVC these days?

The drop stitch I know more about, as I deal with some of the UK importers. There are three main sources. The original/top is Korean but only available in 6inch (so unlikely to be that). The mid-range Chinese made is used in most branded PWC (I’d be very surprised if they weren’t both made of that). There are cheaper, lower-quality, Chinese sources (used in Lidl SUP boards etc.) - both are unlikely to be this, I reckon.

The Honda weighs 5kg-odd more, accounting for the 100mm difference LOA. So they’re definitely not the same.

Useful to hear comparisons between those who’ve seen/used both. Thanks!

Not criticising Honda quality per se. Only the durability of dropstich, fixed, floors with the sort of use we’d envisage.

Thus my hunch that the £400 extra may not equate to extra longevity. It seems to help with re-sale though (new Boat World currently cheaper than any patched HonWave I’ve seen - but PM me an offer if you’ve got a 320 going, for less, with a floor that holds air!).

Well My Honwave T38ie is just fine. I think a little common sense is needed in use to be honest. Not really sure where shards of glass would be coming from.

Look at the many other models available with Ali floors if you are concerned about an air floor

Put money where my mouth is and 3.0m Boatworld V-SIB coming before the end of the week!

We’re based in Liverpool! Also co-own a watersports business with a big fleet of iSUPs and I can show you a quality, main brand, 1000 denier board with a pin hole from a shard of mussel shell on the pontoon.

Can’t wait to try a 9.8 Tohatsu 2-stroke on the back of the 3.0m. Just need to get my hands on one first!
