Boatscrubber

I'm hoping to contact any members, former members, people who think they are members of Boatscrubber.

I became a member when I bought a boat from a member so that his 3 year contract could be continued to my benefit. When I bought the boat I found that the Boatscrubber silicon ant-fouling needed repair. Boatscrubber agreed to repair FOC provided I was member. This was in May. In August I got a letter from Boatscrubber canceling my membership unilaterally because they said they were ceasing UK operations. I wrote back asking them to honour their agreement to repair my anti-fouling; they offered me a poultry £500 which I have declined and have asked for a better offer since the work is going to cost a lot more. So far they have not replied. I've tried contacting them, the phone is not connected, and they don't reply to e-mails.

I'm guessing there are other people in the same boat as me. However, if we act together we may get a better result. Let me know what you think please.

My suspicion is that Boatscrubber is titzup, in which case you'll end up talking to a very unsympathetic insolvency practitioner.

To my knowledge the machines have been removed from their bases in Port Solent and Hamble assume Haslar one has too

Personally I think thats fowl play on their part.

Thanks, Steve. Sorry to hear that you are still suffering from last year's fiasco. I'm hoping however that the current ownership may have a little more integrity. Do you know anyone else who has suffered in this way?

The Portsmouth News tell me that the company is going to wind up.

Does anyone know of anyone who has been caught out by this. By working together we can get a better deal.

Well I can tell you my whole sorry story but I don't know of anyone else apart from my ex paid for her fee's up front but I'm not in touch with her anymore.
