Hi im interested in a bayliner 2655 and was just wondering what other boats are comparable to this type of boat? Basically i would like the biggest boat that a single 350 could push without it being underpowered. Thanks for all your help!

The biggest common boat with a 350 is the Bayliner 285. Loads of other boats like the 2655, Searay 260 Sundancer, Chaparral 270 Signature, Four Winns V285, etc All available with the full range of engines.

With boats like this, the one that 'feels' biggest isnt always the one that is the biggest. Best advice is go and have a look at a few and see which you prefer.

I had a 285 with a 350 mag - bags of power and could touch 40 mph if you had plenty of money to burn

I have a 265 as my first boat and I am very happy with it. Plenty of head room and space and the main selling point is the amount of light let into the cabin from the two windows. Out of all the boats I looked at it felt the least claustrophobic.

I have a Bayliner 285 and I'm very happy with it. We had it up to 38 knots on the sea trial but the fuel consumption is crazy at that. It's happy at 20 odd knots with reasonable fuel consumption and it's certainly not underpowered!

A lot of boat for your money...
