Is anyone here having communication problems with B&OB at present? Or is it just me! Emails unanswered several times. Very frustrating.

I don't know if it is just me, but the site takes ages to show an item for sale. So much so, that I usually give up.

They've also slipped in a Dell advert which opens up a new screen. Funny how the commercial advertising on the main page always loads up way before the actual advert does. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

That is what I am querying. It used to take a few hours to appear. After 4 days one gets a bit fed up. They have also been showing stinkie ads on the raggie page!!!

I am only too well aware of that, having been trying to sell my boat there. Block bookings from brokers appear from nowhere and you suddenly find your yacht 6 or 7 pages behina a load of overpriced stinkpots. What was a very good free selling site has deteriorated rapidly.

Using that url makes no difference. My ads refuse to appear.

yes, they started wanting to charge me for advertising Tigger's charter and at their rates it is cheaper to do so on Ebay. I haev the feeling there has been some degradation of the service all round. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Nothing wrong with the performance but the site in general is no longer worth looking at. I've been using it daily in a search for a new boat (sailing) but the yacht pages are clogged with brokers' ads for about 10 to 15 pages back ... somehow they can renew them regularly when they start to slip back and get hem up-front again ... so to find private ads you have to trawl through all those pages and try to figure out where they begin. I've e-mailed a few times suggesting they put trade ads separate to private ads .. ignored of course. Premier are the worst offenders with at least 12/13 pages .. they can't even be bothered to sort out yachts from motor boats, hence all the wrong stuff in the wrong categories! There are plenty of other sites ... this one just isn't worth bothering with any more!

I put my Sadler 25 on with them last Sunday week (evening), and the advert was live by Monday morning, so not much to complain about there.

Interestingly though, I put the boat on Apolloduck yesterday morning, and the advert went live sometime overnight. Since then I seem to have had over 250 "hits" compared with about 75 on B&O, which has been on for a week longer. Or maybe I'm reading the apolloduck stats incorrectly?

Yes that's my opinion also. And really don't like the extra page of advertising which automatically appears.

I used to keep an eye on the site virtually every day, now almost never.

Placed an advert last night,it is up on the site this morning. Can not fault the service, and it IS free.
