Boats hanging up in locks - pictures please!

Doing a training course on operation of locks tomorrow. (For airline operations staff - don't ask!!)

For the hazards and emergencies bit, I hoped to show a slide or two of unfortunates hung up on bollards / lock walls to illustrate importance of rope management and crew communication.

Tried googling various combinations of "boat hung in lock", "boats hanging in lock" "boat lock fails" etc etc but nothing really suitable.

Got any links people?

Not wishing to be ungrateful, I really need boats hanging from ropes. There's lots in there of boats stuck on cills and gates, but I specifically need to illustrate the dangers of getting hung up on ropes.

Many years ago we took a week on a canal boat from Bredon towards Stratford on Avon. One day we met another boat from our yard. They had managed to crush the roof of their boat in a lock that had some sort of swing bridge which they failed to take account of... Surprisingly they were allowed to continue their holiday. Sorry, off topic and no pics!

If a rope gets snagged and the boat hangs up it is necessary to take swift action. Not much time to be taking photographs.
It's possible there might be some drawings in an inland waterways guide book. I think it might be a RYA inland waterways guide , but I don't have access to it.

Thing is, I'm sure I've seen pictures of this before (I'm thinking French canals) but I can't for the life of me find one now I actually need one!!

There should have been more, but we feared for our lives as they were not friendly natives!!!! They managed to get two boats hung up at the same time!! Had t be cut free.... the evils of drink. They had tied the ropes to the bollards...... school boy error!!!

Not quite what you asked for, but you've got to be able to get 'rope management' out of this, surely

Again, not quite what you wanted, boat going up a lock.

Rope tied off halfway through process pulled tight as boat came up pulling side of boat down. Attempted solution was to get heavier passengers to stand on affected side to remove tension in rope. Lock keeper ran over with sharp knife to solve problem.

I got our corniche stuck in a French lock a few years ago, huge drop but just cut the rope and left it, I suspect most grab a knife before a camera .

Bit off topic but leaving grimsby (commercial ) lock once, they dropped a seriously thick rope down, far too big for my cleats so I hung onto it.
the force of the water going out forced the boat off the side so I had to pull the boat in with all my might.
I looked down and my boat was disappearing , I was dangling from the side of the lock , boat deck about 6ft below me and drifting out.
I jumped and expected a sprained ankle/broken leg but my fall was cushioned as the boat was falling so quickly.
