Is it the same as with dogs.. do boats look like their owners?
What with Spring and Summer coming up, do I need to be concerned and start thinking about a personal trainer as I fear the boat is alot smarter and in better condition than me?

I think that this is an interesting post and a good concept, but it doesn't seem to have attracted much attention.

Maybe if there were a few more half million pound mobos with bald patches and a paunch....

Hmm ! Know what you mean - upholstery sagging, a few non-functional bits and hard to start in the morning. Performance aint quite what it used to be either. On the bright side we still get the odd admiring glance - or is that sympathy?

Exactly. Personally I have a very solid, dependable, sturdily built boat; may no longer be fashionable, not quite as quick off the mark as some younger boats, and it may emit some pretty bad fumes when it gets going in the morning, but there's plenty of life in it yet and doesn't look too bad in a certain light.

How on earth could that be like its owner ...

No I reckon not.
Mines Old, slow to get gowing, bit too much Beam, vents unexpectantly, not what it was a few Years back, doesn't last long without chucking liquid in it., tempremental, smokes too much.
See, theory scuppered.
Nothing like it's Owner!
