Looks like we've sold our boat! :(

Going to be very odd not owning one for a while, though looking at the recent weather we will probably be glad to spend the money elsewhere.

Crikey! That was quick. Well done.

Cheers Richard, we are selling to a dealer so not getting as much as we could get if we tried to sell it privately.

But we are going to wait until next season to get a new boat so can make savings on marina costs etc. until then which evens things out a bit. :)

Dealer rang me last week and hinted at buying my boat at at least £15K below
my asking price. No thank you.

Out of interest what boat did you sell and what are you thinking of buying next year.
There seems to be a trend to downsizing Will you be going bigger?

I did have to negotiate to get the price I wanted but in the end it was a price I was happy to accept rather than going through the hassle of a long drawn out process with a broker. The boat is a Larson 240 and we want a Merry Fisher 805 or 925, so slightly larger.

Went down to the boat for the last time yesterday to clear all our belongings.

SWMBO and I were both surprisingly emotional, it is amazing how attached you get to things.

I fired the engine up that one last time to hear that lovely V8 then popped down below for one last look around.:(

Still, looking forward to getting another boat soon. :)
