But where are you going to keep it. If in UK there is no other way to go than flybridge IMHO. Some where nice to sit at night, watch telly with feet up or cruise along with heating on. Or see where your going proper up the fly bridge. Sports boats a bit like living in bungalow./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

New Boat tip

Well Byron's Princess 435 is up for sale and apparantly in excellent condition.

Though there might be something wrong with the Morse controls. I think he's had a go at fixing them and totally naused them up but he won't tell us the truth.

Perhaps make sure you have a survey before buying it?

Re: New Boat tip

Aha, so the reason you changed was that you'd done what to the old ones then Byron?

C'mon you can tell me, no-ones watching

"Stone Me" is now in Chatham and stone me! he's in Chatham

For me Musician is slightly over egging the pudding but I play keyboards and my main love is Hammond Tonewheel (have you heard of B3) which I have rigged up with two leslies surrounded by the boys guitars and drum kit. In fact it looks like a scene from a 70's recording studio but sounds like a 51 year old prog rock fan going berserk with four kids on various other guitar and drums.

Let me know if you sight "Stone Me"

Re: Boatless CJ

Hammonds & leslies thats familiar, back in the early 70's I used to roadie for an all girl band called
"Bitch", all over the country we went. She had a dirty great Hammond C5 I think it was called
mercifully split in the middle to aid me when hiking it in and out of various clubs.
She too used a leslie, great sound to this organ, think it was probably the best around at the time yes?

One thing for sure it was a heavy beast.

Re: Boatless CJ

Hammond C3, Yes I used to Gig a C3 (not Split) and I sold it about 2 years ago because it was taking up too much room (or at least thats what the wife said) I did have another almost identical RT3 in the garage so things were not so bad, but the C3 had been ex BBC and was very good.

I remember four of us used to carry it up stairs to one gig!

Re: Boatless CJ

Me too. Not with Bitch but plenty of other bands and I have to agree. Hammond C5 etc thru a couple of Leslies. Tremendous rasping sound. (Sigh)

Re: Boatless CJ

As I was the only roadie and the band were all girls, the band leader (and organist) used to have to
charm the first well build male at the venue to assist me with the heavy top part. Everything else on the
van I used to unload on my own.

Re: Boatless CJ

Did you have to 'service' the girls too? Or did you go out and pick some Groupies to do it for you?

Re: Boatless CJ

Sadly only managed to service one as two were dykes and the other married to a guy called
Terry out of a jazzy band at the time called IF
