Have finally got to bottom of long term decline in boat steerability.Removal of steering ram has revealed it to be well knackered in the rubber seal dept.
Of course all bits to fix unavailable until after perishing bank hols.Grrr.
Still a couple of decades worth of decorating/gardening and general fixing up to get on with according to wife...................No chance.Help!!!!!!

Hello Old Git

I noticed from your profile that apart from boats you are interested in flying ham, and radio astronomy. Quel Spendide!

Puzzled from the shoreline.............

Hello tony.Welcome to forum.Basically as with most people on the forum am interested in anything that uses hydrocarbons, pref in vast quantities.
The boat which owns me at the moment is as Princess 33.It is in my care purely until the next (bigger) one comes along./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Flying takes place now and then via a Rutan Cozee owned by a friend and kept at Lydd.
Wonder what sort of boat you have in mind. This forum is a veritable mine of info, you only have to ask.

Re: No longer Boatless old git.

Ram fixed and back on boat.Total cost 65.00 pounds at local hydraulic repair shop.Took a few days due to having to order in seals.Ram was made by french company as was the steering pump.
