Since developing a mild case of boatitis a year or so ago, I have now developed full-blown boatmania.

The symptoms have manifested themselves in the form of me putting my perfectly good house in Worcestershire up for sale today for no good reason other than to buy a house on the Isle of Wight to persue this boat madness. I'm off on Friday to view some properties and will no doubt make an offer on one within a week. The sale will free up the necessary funds to buy a decent boat. Fortunately I'm currently single so I haven't had the huge fun of explaining this to a wife!

Is there any cure or am I damned for all eternity?

PS - can anyone recommend a good marina or moorings on the IOW for something around 35ft to help soothe my fever? :D

Thanks for that.

Any tips on the IOW would be appreciated - I don't really know the place that well, but decided to move there anyway - I like to live dangerously!

I'll need to get to the mainland a couple of times per week which I might do with the boat when I get it - in the meantime whats the best deal with the ferries, particularly with a car?

Cheers.
