I will probably read this when I am in a light hearted mood but truthfully a quick scan makes me think Professor Charles Spence had an exhilarating sail recently on someone's boat, went back to his study and wrote a ground-breaking research paper on the benefits of sailing.
His choice of music that reflects this experience is topped by Wig-Wam-Bam by Sweet. Have you ever actually sat through this 'song'? HaHa.

To be fair, the music is compiled by Akzo, not the Prof (and, no, I've never even heard of either track or band.)

With all due respect, Concerto, you’re preaching to the converted here. I like a good walk, or a run, a swim, or a bike ride, as much as the next man, but nothing gets the blood rushing to the head quite as much as pulling the mainsail up.
