Great - but at 15 quid +, not for a cheap skate like me, sorry Saracen or Crusader, now which are you? Should we inform the Anti-terror brigade?

You'd be a bit disappointed if this one went over the side then?

Bluidy Hell!!! I've just discovered that I've got about 350 squids worth of pans in my galley!

Can't imagine any circumstances in which a frying pan would go over the side!! Surely no one washes them, do they? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If your "Sister in Auckland" will send me one F.O.C. I will give it some serious sea trials and report back to the forum with my conclusions.By the time your company gets them on the UK market they will be queing up for them.

Ah I just remembered ,its not your company is it ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Get me a frying pan which is guaranteed not to coat the entire cooker, splash back, surrounding woodwork, floor etc in fat splashes and I might buy one - otherwise no frying on my boat.

If you carefully scrape it off it's very nice on toast.

Seriously, I have e-mailed the importer to ask if they are going to offer a lid with it, if so I'll have one. Or perhaps "he who's company it isn't" can answer that?

Never tried this method with a pan but it works well for cleaning lavatory brushes, and generates a lot of interest amongst the fish.

Square Meal

I think the term "square meal" originated from Nelson's Navy, when meals were eaten off a square tray.

So, perhaps it has some credibility for boaty applications?

Know what you mean. I do the bacon in the oven. That way I can go back to bed while it cooks.

Looks like advertising! A square pan would not fit the fiddle rails on my Neptune cooker.

I bought Tefal pan from Robert Dyas; its shaped like a small wok with a flat base. Less than £10, non stick, and deep enough not to spill when power boats run through the moorings. Exellent, versatile fries, and stir fries. Easily cleaned.
