Jeanneau 43 DS used heavily for 13 yrs now and has own shower.

Water pressure pump just starting recyclung to top up pressure every 5 mins.

Don't think there is a leak as auto bilge pump not going at all

Does non return valve in pump go?

Can you get service kits or is it best to replace pump?

I used to have a Shurflo F/W pump, for which the service kit was expensive, and when I dismantled I could never stop the b******d thing leaking again. I replaced with a Jabsco which was only about £25-30 more than the service kit, and that's been faultless for several years. As I have no other way of pumping FW, and any other set up would have cost me 3 figures, I carry a brand new pump as a spare... It's a bit like servicing a toilet, often it's almost as economical to do a straight replacement

Had a similar problem with the Johnson pump fitted to our SO35 last year, bilge dry but fresh water pump started to re-pressure every half hour or so, gradually getting more often. Replaced it with a Jabsco which made a significant improvement, no cycling and much improved flow even though the spec was the same.

Stripped the old Johnson pump down to keep as a spare and found the valves had a bit of gunk around them which was preventing them from seating fully.
