Boat tv

Not sure I'd call IPx5 waterproof, but these are impressive in the big boats when you see them in the master cabin :)

Why not buy two put one on the foredeck for the bow man?

Fit it under the water for snorkeling? Could be the new underwater lighting? Dylan are you going to fit to Katie?

What a good idea, but the 19inch screen is too small form me, I rather have the 60inch big screen to ensure that other passing yachts can enjoy viewing the TV at the same time; surely one would need to fit quadraphonic speaker system on the deck to share this unique pleasure with others in the marinas and while sailing.

There's a time and a place for cockpit speakers, but I find it hard to imagine the proper situation for a cockpit telly.

I agree. I'm just about to fit some cockpit speakers to Serendipity.

However I find listening to other people's music in some quiet anchorage annoying, so I guess that people's antagonism is to people being selfish and unthinking with their cockpit speakers?

If the telly doubles as a mirror it can possibly be useful in allaying your concerns about the pale looking crewperson who shipped with you in Istanbul and insists on only doing night watches. Depending on the result you either put Bauhaus on the cockpit speakers or start whittling your emergency bungs into sharper points

Well it has a VGA input so it could be used a a cockpit display for an onboard nav computer as well as a cockpit TV if that floats your boat.

Particularly if you are heading for Whitby...

lol I'd love to know how they manage an IPx5 VGA connector. It may not let water in but I'd be amazed if it would work when wet.
