I need to truck my 27ft sailing boat from Fleetwood, Lancashire to Newhaven, Sussex. Any recommendations for hauliers, please?

Google boat transport and you will get plenty of potentials, most of whom have an on line quote form and you will get a range of quotes within 24 hours. Also worth asking the yards at either end for suggestions. In my experience there is not much to choose among the main ones - when I did this last October quotes were within 10%. However you may find once you start engaging with them there could be a chance of a return load and with that size boat, particularly if it is bilge keel you may not need the big low loaders. Be aware it will not be cheap, particularly when you add in the cost of mast handling and cranes both ends.

Sealand are local to you. They moved our 41’ from N Wales to Liverpool recently and did a good job (it wasn’t easy as the pickup was from a private yard with a hire crane - not an equipped marina/boatyard). They know how to charge though! If you’re flexible ask if they’ve got a job down South that they could tack on to reduce cost. They move most of the boats in/out of here (Liverpool).

I've just had my 34' transported from York to Newark by Paul at Beverley Transport (Boat Transport | Boats by Road | Beverley Transport Services) It was an excellent service at a great price, would recommend them.

You could try Garry Lancaster preston marina, possibly Nick Lancasters son, he moved a 27ft Vega for me years ago.
