Hi,

I am about to have our boat transported (by road) from S. Queensferry on the Forth to The Hamble and would appreciate recommendations (or notes to avoid) on reliable and safe service.

Typical costings would be a great help too.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

I have used Sealand to move from Conwy to Hull - £400 about 3 years ago.

Very good service - driver knew his stuff I would use them again happily.

Think Liverpool based so fairly central to journey

Why not sail it?

Why transport by road and not by sea? I'm based in Aberdeen and could be available to come with you as crew. I'll be free as from about the 20th April.

If this is something you'd maybe think about, send me a PM or e-mail to

I recently used M R Clark of Dumfries (01387 760243) to move a 33 ft Westerly Falcon from Beaulieu to Dunstaffnage for £1100 including VAT. At that price there was a "back load". You have to be a bit flexible over timing to accommodate that. This was significantly cheaper than several quotes from southern hauliers.
They insist on payment in advance. The service was satisfactory.
