Hallo everybody,
I've just received a law that the as of yesterday former goverment of Greece passed about taxation of all pleasure yachts in greek waters regardless of nationality or flag private or professional. It concerns speedboats or mobos over 10 meters and sailing boats over 15 meters which is in Greek waters for a period of time over 40 days.For mobos over 10 mtrs and for the first 13 mtrs 300 euros/mtr.Sailig boats above 15 mtrs for the first 20 mtrs 200 euros/mtr.Boats below these sizes are subject to special registry tax of 1euro/mtr. I won't bother with the rest of the taxation list as i'm sure it won't consern any of us(mobos over 23 mtrs or sailboats over 35 mtrs).Hopefully after the elections they will withdraw this ridiculous act but then again you can never know.Just keep it in mind...Best regards Dimitris.
