Well, after high hopes for our Princess 42, it ended up being a rather disappointing experiment over the past 10 months - and so today I have sold her. I now know that I like sportcruisers, not flybridges. Lesson learned. Next!

Cheers
Jimmy

Well done Jimmy! As always, don't dwell on the past, but concentrate on the future.

Lets hope I am not too far behind you..... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

congratulations on the sale and good luck with moving on! wish we were in your position!! still fingers crossed theres someone out there interested in ours!!

whats next??

I think a cheap sportcruiser for the summer, just to get back on the water, and then who knows after that? Almost certainly not another flybridge though, not in the UK anyway.

Cheers

so you dont actually own a boat?
Hmm.. is there a no-boat owners forum on here somewhere? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Too right Jimmy, us sportcruiser owners have got to stick together /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats on the sale, hope the hit was bearable, but don't dwell on it even if it wasn't.

Congrats Jimmy and good luck finding new boat. Anyway, if you need a flybridge fix just drop by Mole Sud (you know it makes sense!) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congratulations Jimmy

I know you had some good times buying a flybridge - I was there!!!
Remember the delivery party?

Anyway, I hope you can still make it onboard JW next month - so maybe another flybridge experience for you is coming up.

Mike

Congrats Jimmy. Your Princess was a cracking boat, so someone's going to be very happy in her. Shame it didn't work out, but hope you get out on the water this summer in something.

To paraphrase a dubious forumite "Q: Why do you own zero flybridges A: Because I thought one was excessive" (You know who you are!) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks P - how did the sea trial/survey go? Getting there I hope?

Hi Mike - you're right, it hasn't been unilaterally bad - I did say at the time that I wanted to give a f/b a try, and now I have. I couldn't have picked a better boat to try it with, or imho a better manufacturer - the support from Princess all the way through has been exemplary and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to them. But as you know, I've concluded that the f/b just isn't for me.

And yes - can't wait for next month, should be really great fun.

Cheers
Jimmy

That's a thought - maybe I should hang on to them in case we end up in a V42 ... on the other hand, my house is full of stuff I am hanging on to just in case I need it ... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cheers
