Boat sold - £75k tops on new one - any ideas?

I reckon you could get a Sealine S34 for not far off your budget, may be late 90's instead of 2000. You will really appreciate the extra space, and especially the seperate cabins

Adam,

I would be looking at an Early S34 or a Cranchi Zaffiro 34. The Zaffiro 34 is a solid boat, good accomodation and decent Kad42/43's in them. Quite a few very clean ones around. Do not sell as quickly as the S34 so always a deal to be had.

You should get a 1999 Z34 for £75k! See Here , but you will get a newer one as well for that.
Also there are sooo many S34 around that if you put a £75k offer on quite a few, sooner or later someone will bite! Get the ones with Kad 32 though,

Cheers

Not sure it's that simple. Think of all the boats that are used as static caravans cos they hardly ever leave the marina - lots of 'living' wear and tear whilst the low hours engines quietly corrode.... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yes that is ours, "C" pontoon, the teak really sets her apart from other Sea Rays. We did the Bank Holiday w/e in Poole and found the dinette a real bonus for eating with kids, a play table for kids and somewhere to prepare food. Like you I would like seperate cabins for sleeping but you loose a lot of "day space" for the night time privicy which IMHO is not such an issue in a family boat. The 315 layout really works for us.

Of course if the six number come up on Saturday night well then what to have........................

I have just been out for a little run over to Bembridge as a mid-week treat and come back in the dark great fun, especially once tied up and chilling with a beer!

Greg 2, thats why I said 'providing a detailed mechanical and engine survey checks out'. Boats can be neglected whether they are high hours or low hours and high hours is definitely not an indication that a boat has been looked after. I've looked at plenty of high hours boats and many have been shabby and tired, used and abused. I've also looked at a few low hours boats which clearly the owner has lavished money and attention on but for some reason, has not used much. IMHO, all things being equal, low hours is better than high hours
