Bit of both, we got our life raft at LBS, ordered for home delivery and also some A-Glaze teak stuff which we took there and then.

Depends on the product really ! big stuff I would be looking for a show discount and delivered after the show (most will offer the show discount for a period after the show too). small stuff to be picked up at the show unless it's complex and tailored made.
