Decided against travelling to the boat show feel I have saved about £60. That makes for a great saving on the new Radio Ocean AIS/VHF which can be bought locally and not at the show. I don't feel I have missed out on anything and have bagged a bargain as well (at least in my mind).

What have you saved on by not going?

I made some savings by going.

Free entrance ticket from C-Map.
Left my map chip wit them to take back to Italy to update - saving registered post to Italy

I got some Guy Cotten Jupiter Ocean Salopettes (As used by the Open 60 boys)
List price £350 I paid £200.

A new Standard Horizon HX300 Hand Held VHF with USB Charging
List £135 - I paid £112.

NASA BM-1 Compact Battery Monitor
List £105 - I paid £90

Also spoke to 2 folding propeller suppliers and found that a new Prop for Sirenia would not be a costly as I had feared.
Also saw the local supplier for Beta Engines who gave some advice on a problem with my intercooler.

All in All a good day.

I am a member of club Jeppesen and had an e-mail from them offering a free ticket some while ago.
Two of their young Ladies were at the show handing out the tickets and walking around the show visiting stands that offered kit that used C-map chips.
