Several of us have grouped together the last few years to negotiate a deal on boat scrubs , the more that join the cheaper it will be.
All I ask is you donate £10 to charity .
Here’s how it works.
You donate £10 to charity, send me a pm and I will let you know the charity and the secret location in the Solent along with the date to coincide with a popular and well known charity event.
This has to be kept quiet in order to avoid free loading skin flints joining in without contributing.
We all know salt water is alkaline and all marine growth is killed as soon as ph is altered.
The last few years 5 of us have crammed into a lock, bunged the lock keeper a bottle of scotch and then spent the night in the lock after tipping a barrel of Hydrochloric acid in.
There was a bit of a hick up last year when we all overslept and a raggie expected exclusive use of the lock to catch an early tide, hence this year we are thinking MUCH BIGGER .........
We all book in to a small locked marina for a weekend and then each
Pour 25 L of hydrochloric acid in before we spend the evening down the local, /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
dancing on table later too. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Buy 5 x 5 L of these
The more the better and stronger the solution will be, we do not need to make it acetic, just slighter alter the ph to kill the growth and leave sparkling clean props.
Anyone not based in the solent can arrange their own event
Locally to them, other ideal marinas include Gillingham, Amble, the list is endless
And please think about helping charity. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
