Boat scrapyards, old gear recyclers

Can anyone suggest any yards or dealers who recycle old gear, specifically windlasses. I'm looking for a gypsy for an old Simpsom Lawrence SL500 (10mm chain).

I'm in the Caribbean right now so have to do my searching by phone and internet but can deal with shipping or delivery.

Belsize in Southampton has been suggested but that seems to have gone. Any others?

Might be easier in the long run to order a new gypsy from John McMaster at S L Spares - I have communicated with him re a 555 windlass, and he is a very decent chap.

Cornwall Boat Parts in Penrhyn can be very good.

Unfortunately SLSpares doesn't go back that far.

Yes I know Penryn/Falmouth and have relatives scouring that area.

We all know them.....every club has at least one!

ring cliff mogridge at winchservicing.com he used to work for lewmar i think and did a great job of refurbishing my whitlock pedestal if he cant help he should be able to point you in the right direction.
