Any indication if sales this year are yet again up on previous years. Just wondering as I have never understand how all the new boats fit into our already crowded marinas or are there really that number of UK citizens silly enough to move their boats to France and pay only a fraction of the berthing cost in those silly euros that seem to go so far (with a improving exchange rate), enjoying excellent meals and friendly marina service.
While on about France I would also like to complain about the French people I met this year - they did not live up to my expectations. Most of them spoke good English and seemed to appreciate my humble attempt to speak French, they were all friendly and seemed to appreciate the number of English visitors. Thank goodness the UK marinas charge so much and that most places stop serving average to bad food at about 2100 or we would be inundated with more visitors.
I don't like knocking my nationality but can someone reassure me and list the things we really do best.

Oh dear. There has just been a Vive la France post in which a lady got very irate about the " silly" ones of us that leave to live in warmer climes.
I think possibly she stays on the east coast somewhere, but is very satisfied with it. Just said I was a typical expat!!!!

It is a waste of time and it annoys the pig.
