When I had my BSS done last May the inspector said it now worked like the car MOT system with no certificate given but the details all registered online for the navigation authority (EA).

Well my vessel registration has arrived for the EA Anglian region and has printed on it that my BSS expired in May 2015. I don't have a certificate to prove I had the BSS done and have no idea how to access certificates online. Any ideas on this other than me phoning the BSS inspector and asking for help?

When you say your registration has arrived, do you mean the registration plate or a renewal application?
This should help:

Hmmm,
Did he not tell you the number, or send you a PDF certificate by email? That's what happened for me in April last year. Then on renewing my registration, all I had to do was quote the new BSS number.

It's the renewal application, phoned the EA who didn't have an answer, all they could tell me was I had to give them the BSS number and they can then check the certificate online. I guess I will have to phone the BSS office and ask them.
