Boat Registration

Hi all, I'm new here and after some advice. I've recently bought a 13' speedboat of unknown make or model. Its fitted with a Mercury 500 outboard and manual trim. Tonight I've been to register the boat with the local river master at the Tees Barrage. Now, here's my problem: in order to insure the boat, I need at the very least a make and model, and also I believe, a boat registration number??? I'm a novice at motor-boating, athough I have a great deal of kayak and canoe experience, both inland and offshore. So, can anyone advise me as to how I can ascertain the details of the boat in order to insure it? I bought it at a (reputable) auction house, and am unable to find the last owner. I have trawled through many classifieds and online auctions to find something similar, but have had no luck. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you can take a pic and put it up on here you may find someone who knows what it is. It could be a home build and therefore difficult to identify.

A chap living nearby seems nearly sure its a Fletcher Arrow? What do you good people think???

AHA! Making progress. Would anyone know where is the most likly place to find the Hull ID Number on this type of boat? I have had a look around and have so far not located it.
