Boat newbie

Hi all, boat newbie from Anglesey. Just bought a cjr dory 14 ft with a merc blueband (not running) think its the 402 model. Serial number 9023071. I can't find anything about age online though.
Engine turns over but fuel is leaking out of a cylinder ( float chamber???) Engine has a stainless prop worth £300 apparently? Is the engine worth playing with? Or sell ? Also what shaft length should be run on the cjr ?
