Hi i was looking some advice i currently own a merry fisher 925 and was looking to name it with graphics on the stern i was wondering is funky monkey any good and if so what colour and style of lettering would you suggest considering the stripe on the merry fisher appears to be a green colour all help would be great as i dont want it to end up looking tacky thanks..

We used Funky Monkey a couple of years ago for our last boat. No problems at all with them and will probably use them again, as we have a new boat which we are going to rename. If my memory serves me right, they're fairly limited with options on their web site, so you are looking for anything unusual and clever, you might have to look elsewhere.

I have no connection with them incidentally!

No need to limit yourself in any way.

Just go to any local vinyl graphics / sign making company, and you'll be able to choose any font, colour or design you like. Much cheaper than a "specialist marine name" company, and they'll fit for you if required.

Just put "sign makers" into Yell.com, and take your pick.

Job done

I have a MF805 with the same green stripes. I chose green lettering for mine, done locally by this small company : http://www.clubbadges.co.uk/html/home.html

If you find some plastic self-adhesive sheets of the same (or very similar) colour, you could as well make the name yourself.
All you need is a PC and an ink-jet printer: you make the name with your preferred style and size, print it on the back side of the plastic sheets, and then cut it.
The cutting part is a tad annoying, because it must be done accurately, but well worth the saving. Just remember to "mirror" the name before print it, because it's going to be printed on the back of the sheet. Most PC drawing programs allow that.

I can recommend Funky monkey, I ordered a name on Monday and received it today. They send full instructions and even a squeegee to apply its simple.

Used Funky Monkey a few times - always first class. When you apply the decals, just follow their inatructions carefully and you'll have good result.
