Afternoon everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help. I'm looking for a boat yard (or similar) on the tidal Thames with a crane that would be able to lift boat over 30 tons. The Boat size is 68ft x 12.6ft.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for speedy response. Anywhere really, closer to Limehouse the better. No mast as it's Barge style Widebeam. Brentford would do, can they lift over 30 tons though? Is that MSO Marine you had in mind?

Thanks MoodySabre, will give these a go.

The boat is being delivered from a boat builder so she needs launching.

No luck with Heritage Community - moorings only.

I doubt many places will have the capacity to 'lift' that much weight.

Most stuff over 15 - 20 tonnes is slipped or dry docked

You might find someone with some hard standing and be able to hire in a crane if it needs to be lifted out?

What about some of the yards up on the non tidal Thames?

Mobile cranes can do 100's of tonnes. It just depends how deep your pockets are.

You will probably need a 60 - 100 tonne capacity crane to lift your 30 tonne boat.

Not very deep the pockets but I'm struggling to find anyone to deal with a boat of this weight so it might be the only options. After quick google search i found soem recommendations to look for "Contract Lift" as
"A "Contract Lift" means that the hire co. are responsible for (most of) the insurance, preparing the lifting plan, rigging the lift, providing a Banksman, etc. With "Crane Hire", all this can be your responsibility, and for which you need various training courses, etc."
