Launched the boat today, it's so good to be back in, really missed it this winter!
Due to work and bashing the house about commitments, I asked the guys who service the mechanicals (Llyn marine, Volvo agents) to antifoul and polish etc

I was really pleased when I arrived at Pwllheli today, the boat looked amazing, and was totally ready to launch, engines had been run, and windscreens cleaned

New power steering arm fitted for that silky steering

Spent the afternoon re-fitting the side panels and upholstery, it's looking great. (photos to follow)

Anyway thanks to all the guys at Llyn marine for their attention to detail. Good job

(no connection just a satisfied customer)

Sure is! Just having a scotch and water, esbacher (sp!) running, nice and warm and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Just remembered sea cocks off and no water in holding tank......maybe a problem in an hour!

Oh well there something about marinas in winter.

Only snag is the discarded mussel cases and the evidence that the seagulls have wintered on number 5 pontoon at Pwllheli!

Don't put too much water in that Scotch:eek:

Some pics of yesterdays work:
Side panels and cushions re-fitted after repair and recover by Tockfields, in a more modern Targa style

Tek dek loose fitted, will glue down later. Made a smaller "day table" rather than having a big on up all the time.

Nice job, she is looking great.

Still got a bit of work on Rafiki before she gets a dunking on 20th. Main job is the antifoul. Really looking forward to this! Some polishing of the topsides, clean the cockpit teak (bathing platform sanded last weekend). Heat exchangers cleaned out today, and new coolant. New canopy to go on when launched. Finally, fridge to re-stock. Leaving the hardest job to last.
