Boat inventory, consumables and maintenance software

I was using Shipshape (now discontinued) which did the trick but was not too great either. I also used Excel with Filters but that was a bit too crude....

Any experience with a simple and not too expensive (and not web-based) software?

Is this sort of thing fairly well used in the boaty world. I am a newcomer but have produced a similar sort of solution (uses a web browser but all on a CD) for a construction group. Do you think theres a market for it here.
