Did any one used for Cabin Sides and Headlining on his boat :

Ceiling Cladding Hollow PVC Panel 300mm x 10 panels http://r.ebay.com/vNz6DJ

or shall I go for

ROBBINS ELITE CABIN LINE
V grooved one face at 60mm intervals, this panel is ideal for internal cabin sides and headlining,
6mm 2500 x 1220 Gaboon V Grooved

I need to make a quick decision and finish ASAP, enough setting in the boat yard!

A friend of mine used the PVC panels as they were inexpensive from a local double glazing firm, but to be honest it does look a little cheap and clunky. The Robbins stuff looks good but a little pricey and I cant help wondering whether a router could achieve a similar finish for a lot less cash?

I suppose it all depends on the look you prefer and how much cash you are prepared to spend to achieve it.

V grooved plywood

I have just contacted my local timber merchant with the same question, if they can make V grooved one face at 60mm intervals, still waiting for answer, I will report if it is possible to order cheaper...

I used soft carpet like headliner and am very happy with it. To instal it it is very forgiving and reasonably priced ($A32 per meter - 2 meters wide)

In the middle of doing ours using "accustic carpet"......the stuff that kids line the back of cars and "boom boxes" with. So easy to use and cut and sticks directly onto fibreglass or wood with a decent high temperature glue. Got it off Amazon.

I used router to "scribe" grooves in marine ply (about 5mm thick from memory) and this has then been painted. If you PM me your email I can send you some pics if you'd like.

Can transform the cabin look and feel.
