forwards, backwards and neutral

yet they are always kicking off threads on here because the things don't work or cause massive vibration

Got one in my Mirror Offshore...original equipment as per Dylan's....works a treat....starts on the button.....general maintenance bits and bobs readily available...as for the rest...sometimes available on e-bay.....

BTW...there's a complete one up for sale as we speak.......

WITH A SEPERATE GEARBOX DYLAN !!

Although they have less speeds than a car gearbox, boat gearboxes also perform the function of the car's clutch as well as carrying the thrust from the propeller.

Quite right......errr....thank you for mentioning that Dave.

Although the concept of more than two gears in my wifes car is anathama, (sp?),to her... not sexist ..but true....50 mph in 3rd?....always and forever .....with a totaly unused 4th and 5th gear...it'll be a bargain to the next buyer!
