I'm looking for a good book about 12 volt boat electrics. I intend on rewiring my sadler 25 this winter and need a book that has good illustrations and easy to understand text.
any help mush appreciated.

Nigel Calder's Boat Owners Mechanical and Electrical Manual/Guide/Encyclopedia will cover most material and is pretty useful for other "Sthuff"

The 12 volt bible. Don't know who it's by, but a very good book. As a tip, Use only marine grade TINNED copper cable and only good quality crimp on connections with a proper ratchet crimping tool. Don't solder small connections.

The PBO book "Electrics Afloat" is good - lots of clear pictures and diagrams. I used diagrams from it (published in a PBO article) to plan my shorepower installation. Not as detailed as Nigel Calders book but IMO compliments it well.

You can get it from the YBW site and they also sell it on Amazon.

12 Volt Bible

by Miner K. Botherton.

Its written in American, recommends American solutions (although so does Calder) and I think is out of print.

It's available on the Internet for less than a tenner, though, whereas Calders is probably £30+.
