Following a wet weekend where I couldn't do anything meaningful on board, I found this.. docking contest
Now I really fancy having a go at this mularky, but I'm not sure if this is done anywhere in the good old UK. Anyone else up for setting something up? Maybe an event somewhere? I'm not sure what the insurance companies might make of this though.

They are called boat handling competitions and happen on the non-tidal Thames every year, either at individual clubs or the Association of Thames Yacht Clubs, annual bash over the August bank holiday weekend.
Not so popular now for some reason but very enjoyable and very instructive.
RYA also ran regional heats and then final at SIBS for a few years, but then gave up.
