Boat Cover Repair Kit

Hi

Does anyone know where to purchase a kit for doing DIY repairs to studs and poppers on canvas covers as trying to get someone charging sensible money and getting their timing right is difficult at present. I need a selection of poppers and bases plus a few of the spring loaded ones that push over studs on the hull. Any help much appreciated.

When over in the States earlier this year I bought a little kit of canvas fasteners from BoatUS (itme number 379943) or it might have been from West Marine. Have used to repair my tonneau and also replace studs in fibreglass. Easy to use with a hammer and the included press tool.

If all else fails send PM as I can probably spare a few and replace the next time I am in States.

Thanks a lot and also for your kind offer of bits. Theres a firm called Frosts which specialise in vintage car restorations and some of their kit seems to be boaty compatible. I will try them just now and see what they have. Cheers. Roy

Actually managed to get a set of ten plus tools from Seamark-Nunn (www.seamark-nunn.co.uk) for only £9.95. Pretty good value methinks. Roy
