I am just back after a weeks Wooden Boat Restoration course at the BBA in Lyme Regis. A most enjoyable week and just what I needed to give me the confidence to start ripping out and replacing planks, rebuilding the interior of my boat etc. Thoroughly recommended for anyone with basic woodworking skills who wants to take on more challenging jobs on a wooden boat.

The school's website is here. All tools are provided although if you have your own plane, chisels etc you can take them. There is hostel type accomodation on site at very reasonable rates and plenty of places to eat in Lyme. Unfortunately the wooden boat restoration course only seems to run twice a year but I guess that's partly to do with demand.
