My transom mounted S/S boarding ladder was 'nudged' a while back, distorting one of the stand-offs (black, adjustable, plastic) which needs replacing /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Anyone any idea where to get one (or a pair) - found nothing on google, hence this posting.

Hi, she is a Gibsea 84 (and trying to add pic /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif [image]http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn163/pau11yons/IMG_0603.jpg?t=1214330574[/image]

Welcome to the forum. You'll find that posting images is ridiculously stupid and un-intuitive here. I've just had three goes and I think I've got it. Quite unlike any other forum I've come across, but it's something to do with the url provided by PhotoBucket (or Flickr come to that). You have to look for the correct url on the Photobucket site, rather than just copy and paste what appears in the address bar of your browser. I think.

Someone else will now come along and say how easy it is, and like a lot of things, it is - but only when you know how.

With reference to the image posting, it looks like you got it 90% right. When you cut and paste the link, just check that it ends in jpg (or gif). If it doesn't, delete the bit after jpg - in your case that is this gubbins ?t=1214330574. I have to do this if I link to pictures in my Orange hosted site. I'm not an expert so I don't know why it happens. it just does.

I can do no better than to point you to this extensive tutorial produced by Dogwatch
It assumes you're running Windows, but the bit about which url to use (7/8 down the page) in PhotoBucket applies whatever.

I'm no expert either, as I have to re-learn it every time. However, the trick is to post the url of the image itself, not the url of the page it appears on. So, as you rightly say, it shouldn't have all that gubbins after the .jpg

They must be rare because one dropped of my trailer board and saw it in the mirror, stopped got out to see soemone pick it up and do a bunk.

Caught him off-guard a few minutes later and retrieved it from the little squealer. Said he had been loooking for one for ages

All you have to do is click on the words IMG Code, the bottom line under the thumbnail. (That autocopies the url and the image tags to your clipboard.) Then paste directly into your post.
Lemon squeezy.

Now that we have mastered that read the photo bucket instructions for putting clickable thumb nails into your post (then you can post big pics without infringing the 640pixels width limit)
