Boa constrictor

I have two of those, different sizes.
They are good for opening jam jars and so forth. Also for unscrewing bits of motorbike forks without damage.
They use them in some factories for opening 25litre plastic cans.

They are no good for getting the oil filter off my Ducati...access is too restricted.

Glad that they actually work.Bought them with the express idea of unscrewing my oil filter in the boat.... instead of puncturing with a screwdriver!

As said good in the kitchen for jar lids but the one I have is a bit too stretchy for oil filters.
Maybe a heavier one would be OK.
I have often thought of making one using an old cam belt

Wot's that green thing? I believe it may be a WW2 German helmet from the little known leprechaun division. Or is it your clown nose?

That isn't a pair of pee-pee sample tubes from the Doc at the back of the drawer?

A couple of laboratory thermometers There are at least a couple more somewhere including one we used for jam making. ........ Everybody has selection of laboratory thermometers don't they ?

You seem to have a tin opener fetish.

You cannot have too many tin openers

Two of them actually. Silicone egg poachers. Put the eggs in them and float them in a saucepan.

I hope I am not going to have to photograph all the kitchen equipment

Thanks very much for the added information. I happen to know more about poaching eggs that boats. You don't need silicon thingies - just a deep pan and a spoon.

Re oil filters, from time to time the German Shops have oil filter removers at good prices and meant for the job.
We have 2 one on the boat and one in the garage tool kit.

I have one of these and tries to use it a couple of months ago to take an oil filter off. It was rubbish. I messed about for half an hour cleaning the rubber strap and cleaning the filter case to try to prevent slipping but the combination of slipping and the rubber strap stretching meant I ended up with the screwdriver and hammer approach in the end anyway.
Still in the toolbox but as yet I haven't found anything the tool is uniquely suitable for.

Major use for ours is to remove the Vetus raw water filter cover. I'd like a cross cut out lever but can't find one; the boa works quite well.
