I have this engine on my Fisher 34 40 years old. 58HP. Considering repowering with a similar sized engine. Anyone know one that would fit in the space and line up with the prop etc? Thinking Nanni or Beta?

Either are well respected and can be engineered to fit. Yanmar can also sometimes be cost effective and their parts are widely available worldwide. To keep installation costs down, the closer exhaust, fuel, electrics and controls are to the original, the better. Also, while the engines out, it's a convenient time to update the sound deadening.
