thanks guys but calcutta boats want 160 pounds for 1 and they dont have any instock and cant get through to amc.

anyone else know of anywhere i can find 1.

is there any crank pulleys that would be compatible from any other applications ?

The front crankshaft pulley of the BMC 1.5 diesel could be the same as the BMC B series engine. As the front crank oil seal runs on the pulley hub I would measure the diameter of the front end of the crank and the inside diameter of the seal and go from there

Check with anyone who deals with spares for MGB's etc.

It is also worth looking around the vintage tractor sites. The BMC B series diesel was used in a lot of small tractors. Some parts are available on ebay.

Thorneycroft engines was sold to an Indian company (India makes a very large number of small diesels) and until recently they still held stocks of spares.

Be grateful if you can get one for £160. I have just paid nearly £250 for a crank pulley for my Ford XLD 418 diesel.
