BM1 showing positive charge when inverter used!

I've just fitted a pure sine wave 2-4 kw inverter which worked fine in our camper running the fridge and small devices.
When tested on the boat it is showing a positive charge on the BM1 .
polarity at the battery and the inverter has been checked.
Any ideas please!!

Where did you connect the negative feed? It must go on the out side of the shunt, not the battery terminal.

Make sure that every negative connection is made after the shunt, not directly to the battery or between the battery and the shunt.

Thanks guys. I had not sussed out the shunt issue! Will do it now and report back!
