If I have the correct boat, and I think that I have, it is a revision to steel construction by Tom Colvin of an earlier design called 'Blue Moon'. 'Blue Moon' was designed by another celebrated American designer whose name escapes me for the present. It was drawn for building in carvel timber. From memory, the drawings of 'Blue Moon' are available from WoodenBoat Magazine.
Peter.

Yes, the designer of Blue Moon was Thomas Gillmer and the boat is featured in WoodenBoats "Fifty Wooden Boats". It is 23ft, but the steel version is longer at 25ft. A few were built in the UK and one was home finished and featured in PBO. The design then metamorphosed into the Tradewind 25 in GRP and several were built. However, it was very expensive and the market for this kind of boat very limited. Tradewind also expanded the design to a 30ft, but this failed to catch on - again expense.
