I have a blue hull and a smallish gouge on the corner of my sugar scoop, approx 120mm x 15mm.

I want to try and get this repaired/colour matched so it is hopefully invisable.
I have no experience in this type of repair and to avoid a poor repair, I would like to get it done professionally.

Can anyone recommend someone , my boat is on the River Crouch

Thanks

Not quite Essex, but close enough: can recommend Fox's in Ipswich.
Did a first class job on Guapa.

thanks for that, I have heard they are very good, but would i have to take boat to them, or would they come to me, for such a small repair?

You could try Robert Stockwell (RMS Mouldings Ltd) 07519 170265. He is based at Althorne. No connection, just a satisfied customer - he didn't do much colour matching for me but was genuinely helpful and did do a good job.

RMS Mouldings, as suggested above. He did some work on the boat next to us, and we were really impressed with the care he took and the excellent results he got.

i have contacted all those who were suggested/recommended, but to no avail. I have been told the repair to the corner of the sugar scoop needs to be filled, then sprayed, because the sugar scoop has previously been sprayed (very very good colour match) and the finishing of a gel coat repair would interfer with the paint area

Therefore, I ask, can anyone please recommend a boat paint expert who can colour match a blue hull

Many thanks

Can you find who sprayed it first time around?
Or get a BS colour number from the builder?

I have contacted the original sprayers, Desty Marine in Southampton, but they have no record of the colours used to achieve the match.
