Thought that blue fenders (Polyform G6's) might show up less muck than white ones (and look better!). Can't use fender socks because fenders then too snug for fender rack. Has anyone tried blue fenders with a white hulled boat? Will they leave blue scuff marks?!

We've got blue fenders, no marks left on hull.

I never had a problem with the socks Miles. You don't want the fenders inflated massively hard, and then they fit perfectly ok imho.

Have seen blue fenders get sticky & some marking in hot sunny climate of the Med, fender socks are better & less scuffing of the gel coat..

This guy, Dudley Pattison, http://www.m2mfenders.eu/ is very good. Does everything fast by email, and knows all the sizes so if you say "the OEM Sq58 large fenders" he knows exactly the OEM maker and the size. I have ordered from him before and just ordered 8 socks from him this morning for new boat. He is a nice guy to deal with so I don't bother shopping anywhere else for fender related stuff. His email is dud@ the url above

Great, thanks v much John, I'll contact them.

JFM, needed a new set of fenders for my Aquastar so contacted Dud after reading this. Great guy, great service. Order placed. As you say, he knows OEM supplies. Thanks for the intro!

Had blue Anchor fenders on our last boat, which was white hulled. No problem at all and to be frank would never have crossed my mind that it might be an issue......maybe with very cheap brands but not with anything decent. Just bought some black fenders for our white hulled Broom.......
