blown heaters, petrol or diesel ?

If the hot element isn't very hot diesel won't ignite (a common problem in fact, if the batteries are low). Whereas petrol and gas don't take much encouragement

just seen these

comes in a petrol version too

Eberspackers & Webastados come in gasoline versions too but neither recommend them for marine use for obvious reasons. I have a petrol engined boat and an Eberspacker but it does not use petrol as fuel. I have a small separate tank into which I glug B&Q's finest Chateau de Stanlow 1998 vintage paraffin. A separate tank costs little and doesn't take much space.

Seems like a good price - much cheaper than an Eberspacher or Webasto . Chinese heaters are cheaper still BUT the extras you have to buy for marine use will double or treble the initial price. Diesel much safer than petrol - just fit a small tank and of course you can use red diesel or kerosene (home heating oil).
