Catapult sailing cats are VERY good boats, pretty, very fast & amazing fun AND there's no gas guzzling noisy outboard to ruin your day in so many ways.

Wow, didn't even know there were these sort of things around, looks good fun, not sure about the price though.

As to the original link, I thought it would make a good toy for the kids when at anchor, instead of annoying the hell out of everyone else in the tender with the 2hp screaming away for 3 hours at a time!

Parents must be immune to the noise by now I guess.
 
I have a Plastimo sailing rig for my tender but I haven't used it for a while. You can also get Tinker Tramp sailing inflatables.

Please don't let the kids loose with an outboard, it teaches them nothing & just annoys the hell out of everyone else as you say. Let them fish, swim, row or sail, it's quieter, safer, more educational & will keep them entertained for hours - plus they will be satisfyingly tired by bedtime..

Fortunately we don't have any to keep amused but good advice, we certainly get more enjoyment out of doing all of the above, helps us sleep too!
 
I would like to blow our cat up!

If it leaves another rabbit corpse behind the boxes in my office or brings another mouse into the house , gets fed up and lets it go again I WILL BLOW IT UP!

Semtex is hard to come by so i might use 8 bar compressed air.
